Fun Facts about Bugs

Cute as a Bug. Bugs are insects. They have three parts—head, thorax, and abdomen. Over one million different types of insects share our world. Nearly half are beetles.

Don’t bug the bugs. Most bugs are not harmful to people. If bugs didn’t spread pollen, few plants would grow seeds. Fewer plants would grow. Hey, we need plants. They produce much of the foods we eat.

This is not a fact, but it is fun. Ladybug quote: I didn't choose the bug life. It chose me.

More fun!

Psst! It’s me again. Flora. Here’s the thing about flora (plants) and fauna (animals). Bugs save the world. I agree, but not without plants. One can’t exist without the other. So, what can you do to help bugs and plants make the world a better place to live?

Plant blooming flowers.

Don’t use pesticides.

Can you think of other ideas?
